Starting the trial
Run the installer and leave the licence field blank when it asks. That is the whole of it: the application runs in trial mode for fifteen days from that point, with nothing withheld.
Entering a key at the same prompt licenses the machine instead. You can also open the same dialog later, from the installed application, once you have bought one.
When the fifteen days are up
Buy a key and enter it in the License dialog. Nothing is reinstalled and nothing is migrated; the application you have already set up is the one that becomes licensed.
